The opportunity
The purpose of the position of Performance and Reporting Lead is to provide integrated programme delivery reporting for Wellington Water programmes of work. You will collaborate with programme delivery teams and positions across Wellington Water to support strategic initiatives, provide transparent and accurate reporting and analysis of performance, and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings across our programmes of work.
You will work collaboratively with Digital Products and Services, and provide guidance to the Programme Systems Analyst, to ensure the programme delivery data management strategy meets strategic reporting requirements. You will work with the rest of the Programme Practice team to support the development of a positive and high-performance team culture of programme delivery through our supply chain whānau.
This role has a focus on in-depth analysis of programme delivery data to identify trends and problem areas as needed. You will also present clear and concise financial data to the Finance team. You will also provide guidance to Programme Systems Analysts ensuring datasets add value and meet reporting requirements.
Working closely with the Programme Delivery Lead you will build strong collaborative relationships that will increase the stakeholder understanding of their programme delivery while establishing regular forums to optimise datasets, reports and KPI's with their associated metadata and production processes reviewed and improved. Your work reflects the company's continuous improvement philosophy.
About you
That you have experience and qualifications that align with developing performance reporting across an organisation. You come from a science, statistics, engineering, or a related field. That you advise senior leaders on performance reporting and the interpretation of trends. That you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. That you can translate the data you observe into language that can be understood across the organisation, demonstrated through high quality reporting and presentations.
About our team
The Programme Practice team provides a full suite of support functions and delivery processes, policies and procedures to ensure practice excellence for the capital programme.
Their specialist services are delivered internally to programmes and projects including Major Projects, Programme Delivery, Design team, Network Engineering, Network Management Group and the Customer Operations Group. They also work across our supplier whanau to build consistency and quality of our project delivery.
