We are seeking an Operating Model and Integrated Design Lead to guide a crucial workstream in our Te Pae Tawhiti transformation programme.

Te Pae Tawhiti - Our Future is about the Ministry of Social Development's (MSD) future role and how we can make a bigger and better difference for New Zealanders. Te Pae Tawhiti transformation programme will deliver services that are easier, more accessible and integrated across employment, housing and income support with greater use of partnering.
Achieving our Te Pae Tawhiti vision will be a long-term journey for MSD. This is a once in a generation change to the way MSD delivers services to New Zealanders, it's our opportunity to set up MSD for the next 30 years. The programme will be a major undertaking, delivering significant benefits to over a million New Zealanders who access MSD support and services. Te āhua o te tūranga / About the role
This role leads one of four key design areas for the transformation programme and maintains crucial accountability for Business Design/Architecture. Additionally, this role works closely with the Future Service Model, Technology and Data Architecture, and Equity teams to develop an integrated design across all areas.
Experience in managing workstreams and integrating them with other delivery portfolios across an organisation is necessary. This is a strategic, high-impact role, essential to our ongoing transformation.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako / Skills and experience
- Extensive experience leading, designing, and implementing operating and business design/architecture models and deliverables at an Enterprise scale, with a proficiency in linking concurrent change initiatives into a cohesive design.
- In-depth knowledge of operating model, business design, and business architecture trends, along with leading practice methodologies.
- Proven track record of contributing to or leading large-scale transformation and/or business change programmes.
- Deep understanding of benefit management within the context of transformation and/or large-scale change programmes.
- Significant experience in leading projects and programmes of business change.
- Experience managing relationships in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgement under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise, well-constructed reports.
- A demonstrated commitment to quality service provision and result delivery.

Position Description

**Salary range**: $170,001-$253,001
