The Team Leader: HR Service Hub plays a critical role in supporting the HR Service Centre Manager as well as leading a strong team of HR Assistants who aim to deliver service excellence through commitment, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The People Group provides advice and services to more than 15,000 employees at NZ Police. Our HR team is looking for a Team Leader HR Service Hub to provide functional leadership, supervision, and direction to the service centre hubs. The role will actively ensure that our hubs provide exemplary support and advice, and continually seeks to enhance work processes and practices to deliver on Our Business. As well as prioritisation and allocation of work and you will provide mentoring to HR Assistants by sharing skills, knowledge, and expertise to enable them to meet their objectives. You will have demonstrated experience using reporting and analytics to understand and evaluate transaction volume, queue management and resource allocation, and will provide the HR Service Centre Manager with regular reporting for them to be kept up to date and make informed decisions. **Key Accountabilities**: - Lead a team (where they are geographically dispersed) - Build capability amongst the team. - Support the HR Service Centre Manager to provide people leadership and direction for the team. - Identify problems or challenges and implement business process improvement solutions. - Manage competing demands and high workloads. - Evaluate and measure team performance and be able to report on this. - Work collaboratively and prioritise workflow to deliver timely services to the organisation. - Identify and mitigate organisational and people risk. - Collaborate with customers through early engagement, proactive planning and shared resources. - Excellent written and oral communication - Manage resources to deliver planned outcomes. **He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bring** Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others.
