We are looking for a leader to join us as Head of School - Business and Digital Technologies, reporting to the General Manager and is based at our Manukau Campus. **E pā ana ki te tūranga - Tuanga tatara i te angaanga - About the role** This is a people leadership role, experience in tertiary teaching and some experience working within a business environment and/or in the Digital Technologies field is preferred. We are looking for a dynamic leader with the passion and skill to lead the School, you will be an outstanding communicator with demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships. You will be organised, innovative, a strategic thinker, flexible and committed to high quality teaching outcomes for our certificate, diploma and degree students. In this key role you will provide academic leadership of the School to ensure student success at all levels. In collaboration with other sector leaders within MIT, you will promote the growth and development of Digital Technologies. As the ideal applicant you will have a degree or experience in managing a professional and diverse team of highly-qualified educators and the ability to set and monitor budgets, as well as an in-depth knowledge of tertiary funding policy. You will be a strong leader, responsible for the operational and financial management of the School as well as developing relationships with industry. Overall responsibilities include: - Accountability for the commercial and academic success of programmes. - Identifying new revenue generation opportunities and delivering solutions to drive programme success. - Supporting programme teams to seek new opportunities to develop their programmes and business plans. - Working cross functionally across the institute. - Ensuring a pro-active strategy is developed and implemented for the portfolio. - Coaching and supporting teaching staff to develop their industry networks and engagement. - Delivering the school strategic plan in line with MIT strategic objectives. - Engaging with Nga Kete Wananga Marae and the Pasifika Development Office Collaboration is the key to success for this role. You will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have the ability to coach and influence to create a high performing team with a positive culture.
