**The Opportunity**:
At AsureQuality we are enhancing our Cyber Security capability, through hardening our technology protection and appointing a Cyber Security Specialist for intrusion monitoring, gathering intelligence and educating our staff & customers, to defend themselves & our business in a future-proof manner.

The role has both reactive and proactive components, but will largely look at the reactive administration functions of notification and daily report generation. Reacting to threats and being proactive about education and keeping ahead of trends.

You will work closely with our Cyber Security Lead, AQIT team and security partners to build great relationships with them and to operationally administer the practice that is being built.

Your excellent technical problem-solving, or developing technical skills, and researching skills will be fully utilized in this role to drive improvements in protection against unwanted intrusions and attention.

This permanent position involves working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This role is ideally based in one of AsureQuality's NZ based offices, although you will be able to work from home 2-3 days per week.

**About You**:
Key Requirements to be eligible for this role include having:

- Ability to work with administration functions of Cyber Security
- Ability to consume notification information and react in an appropriate manner
- Ability to form quick opinions based on fact based evidence
- Proven ability to be a hands-on Cyber Security technician
- Ability to learn tool use such as using Tenable and Sentinel One
- Experience with Phishing simulations and associated education of staff members
- Ability to work with external partnerships to gain the best mutual outcome
- Interest shown in Cyber Security and willingness to train into the practice
- An ability to understand MITRE ATT&CK techniques / sub-techniques and the ability to communicate technical concepts at all levels is essential.
- A motivated self-starter, committed to ongoing self-education, and possess strong customer service skills
- Great English communication skills and interpersonal skills
