Our Cardiology department is located in Christchurch Hospital, this department specialises in diagnosing and treating diseases or conditions of the heart and blood vessels - the cardiovascular system. Cardiology is one of the busiest services within the Te Whatu Ora Health NZ - Waitaha, Cantebury with over 30,000 appointments per year.

As a Clinical Administrator, you will be working in this fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in our service, helping to achieve the best outcomes for our tūroro (patients) and whanaū while working within a great kapa (team). This is a full-time permanent position based in Christchurch Hospital.

This position is permanent part-time working 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 4/Profile 4A steps

This role will see you providing quality secretarial support to a busy but very friendly department. Your role will predominantly involve:

- Coordinating appointments with our clinicians and tūroro (patients)
- Transcribing clinical dictation
- Collating information and ensuring completeness of the record
- Various administration tasks
- Providing excellent customer service
- Managing clinics

Your skills will include:

- Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised
- Intermediate user in Microsoft suite of products e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel
- Customer service and communication skills
- Typing skills (50 - 70 WPM)
