This is an 18-month fixed term position, working 8-hour days.

**What you will be doing**

As a Process Engineer/ Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the mining team at our mine site. Your key responsibilities will include assisting with setting out mining panels, conducting ground water and stability monitoring, processing drilling samples, managing data, and conducting survey work.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure safe and efficient mining operations. You will also contribute to the development of geotechnical site investigation reports and provide technical advice to support decision-making.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Conducting topographic surveys and producing survey reports to assist with setting out mining panels and excavation of mine areas.
- Conducting ground water and stability monitoring activities and analyzing data to support safe and efficient mining operations.
- Processing drilling samples and analyzing results to support decision-making.
- Managing and analyzing data to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available for mining planning and decision-making.
- Conducting geotechnical site investigations and assisting with the production tasks.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure project timelines are met.

**What you will bring to the role**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A bachelor's degree in geotechnical engineering, geological engineering or geology.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in data management.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in the use of surveying equipment and software.
