**THE ROLE**

The Asset and Compliance Manager plays a key role in providing effective and sustainable asset management and building compliance services for the Council across a broad range of public infrastructure types.

Ensuring that the planning and delivery of Asset Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Scheduled Maintenance contribute to providing a comprehensive full life cycle approach for the Council assets by:

- Providing tactical and operational guidance in asset management, to ensure positive outcomes across the portfolio that support the Council’s strategic asset management approach
- Ensuring the Council can achieve long-term cost savings and offer uninterrupted services while retaining asset value
- Ensuring that regulatory compliance is always maintained for the Council assets under Ventia’s management
- Managing and maintaining a comprehensive Scheduled Maintenance Plan that supports the shift from reactive to proactive maintenance investment
- Undertaking the planning, monitoring, analysis, certification, and reporting activities necessary to give effect to the agreed outcome objectives
- This is a purely independent role but will work collaboratively with various stakeholders such us the Maintenance Team, Service Delivery team, and subcontractors.
- We also offer a flexible work environment where you can plan your own day and work from home some days.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Tertiary qualification(s) in Engineering, Asset Management, Property or equivalent are desirable but not essential
- Solid experience in a position with accountability for asset management and compliance planning and execution in a similar sized contract
- Broad experience in the building/service industry and knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations including engineering standards and codes of practice
- Proven experience in the management of a large portfolio of assets
- Highly developed skills in spreadsheets, databases, and asset management system such as SAP, Maximo, Mex, or SimPro are desirable.
- Highly developed general business management skills, including finance and computer literacy
- Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to take on responsibility and use initiative to prioritise and work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships across a broad range of individuals at all levels in organisations (internal and external)
- Highly developed communication skills including the ability to persuade and influence to obtain optimal outcomes
