**About the Organisation**:
The New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) is looking for a curious and passionate Linux System Engineer with the necessary ‘tight-lipped’ skills to get amongst enhancing Aotearoa’s national security.

**About You**:
Do you know everything there is to know about Linux? You don’t need to be there yet, but if you want to be, this role will provide you with the experience and support to get there.

You will:

- Be passionate about Linux and developing into a Linux engineer
- Have an understanding of Linux system administration and a good grasp of the fundamentals
- Have an understanding of containerisation and configuration management
- Have computer scripting skills e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell scripting languages (desirable)
- Have configuration management skills e.g. Ansible (desirable)
- Have an understanding of service management frameworks, such as ITIL (desirable)
- Have an interest in the lifecycle management of security and system environments, including design, deployment, implementation, and operational support
