**About the Organisation**:
The New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) is looking for an experienced Windows System Engineer with the necessary ‘tight-lipped’ skills to get amongst enhancing Aotearoa’s national security.

This role sits within the Tech Directorate who are responsible for ensuring high quality technology outcomes for the community.

**About You**:
Do you really know your stuff? How about if you have no access to external information and you need to make a critical call? You don’t need to be there yet, but if you desire to be that good, this role will provide you with the experience and support to get there.

You will:

- Have solid experience in Windows system administration and design
- Have experience in VMWare
- Beginner knowledge of SQL or Oracle or even both
- Be a qualified system engineering professional with significant relevant experience in the IT or Telco industry
- Have computer scripting skills e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell scripting languages (desirable)
- Have an understanding of service management frameworks, such as ITIL (desirable)
- Have experience in the lifecycle management of security and system environments, including design, deployment, implementation, and operational support
- A desire to learn Linux
