Administration Support Officer
- A permanent position based in Whanganui Prison

We are looking for an Administration Support Officer to join the team at our Prison in Whanganui.
About the role | Mō te tūnga
This is a varied role with a wide range of duties. Your key responsibility will be required to provide administration support to the Teams within the Prison. Other duties will include telephone support, filing, arranging AVLs, checking of incoming and outgoing prisoner mail, data entry and general administration tasks.
You will be someone who enjoys working collaboratively with your colleagues in a challenging and fast paced environment, you'll be able to multitask, follow and adhere to strict policies and procedures, and have sound judgement in prioritising tasks and activities to meet deadlines. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a good all-round administrator, have a mature attitude, a sense of humour and be willing to cross train into all roles within the office

Ideally you will have the following skills and experience;
- Sound computer skills and experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Previous Administrative experience
- Excellent written & oral communications skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent time management
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Able to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
- Lastly, a “can do” attitude

You will need a full New Zealand driver licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle for this role.

The salary range for this role is $49,708 - $57,306 per annum. The work profile for this position is Monday to Friday, working a 40-hour week.
