Forbury is the leading provider of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Valuation software across Australia and New Zealand. Their customers include MNC’s and ASX50 companies who operationalise Forbury software in the most sensitive parts of their financial processes - determining the underlying value of existing or on-market commercial real estate. Due to exponential growth, they are looking for a Functional Analyst to be based in the Christchurch head office to take on the coordination of risk management/compliance and quality assurance to ensure that Forbury has an effective information security programme.

Operating a software business within the financial services sector comes with unique compliance obligations, and technical changes. Data confidentiality, integrity and quality assurance are central to Forbury’s mission, and this newly created role reflects their commitment to these principles. Working closely with the Development Team whilst reporting into the Senior Functional Analyst, you will be tasked with the ownership and development of Forbury’s security and risk management and quality assurance framework. As a growth role, it is expected that the successful applicant will become the expert in the business’s systems, processes, and business risks. Over time, there is genuine opportunity for the successful incumbent to choose a path to take the lead in the overall functions of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) **or **Software Quality Assurance as the business expands globally.

In joining their fast paced, technical, and highly motivated team, you will have experience in a DevOps setting with exposure to either risk mitigation practices within an ISO27001:2013 certified organisation, OR you have worked in a software testing environment, along with proficiencies in task management software such as JIRA, Confluence or Eramba. A previous audit and/or risk background in a similar setting working closely with developers within IT or tech sector is desirable, but equally as important is the ability to efficiently facilitate and follow process whilst working across various teams and departments. You will need to be solution focused and methodical with an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. On a personal level you will be self-motivated with a proactive and considered approach, along with strong interpersonal skills and disciplines around planning. You will be able to demonstrate consistent presentation and communication skills and relish working as part of a collaborative team that continually works towards continuous improvement.
