Nalawe Forestry Limited is currently looking for up to four motivated Forestry Workers to join their team based across the the Whanganui - Manawatu region.

The role is permanent and full-time (we guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week). Applicants must be available Mon -Fri and the ocassional Saturday. The normal working hours are 7:30am - 3:30 pm.

You will be paid a piece rate as per the following:

- $1.50 per metre of pruning.
- $30 per bag planted (approx. 100 trees).
- $0.15 per spot sprayed.

Wages will be 'topped up' to $27.50 per hour if your comparable piece rate earnings do not exceed this figure.

Applicants must have a minimum of 1-year relevant work experience in order to be successful.

The Forestry Workers' job duties are:

- Forest Establishment: These services include tree transport, planting and quality control checking and release spraying.
- Pruning: Silvicultural pruning consist of removing a prescribed height of branches as per best practice guidelines to encourage the growth of defect free clear wood.
