**Location**: Tararua
**Pay Rate**: $30 - $35 per hour
**Hours of Work**: 30 - 40 hours per week

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of work experience.
**OR**:

- Level 2 or higher qualification.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain forestry tools, chainsaws, and equipment.
- Assist with pest and weed control to protect forest health.
- Carry out site preparation and post-harvest clean-up activities.
- Identify and report signs of disease, pest infestation, or environmental hazards.
- Load and transport logs and forestry materials using appropriate machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of daily tasks, site conditions, and productivity.
- Follow environmental and safety protocols, including use of PPE.
- Support erosion control and land rehabilitation efforts.
- Participate in fire prevention and emergency response drills.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet project goals.
- Attend training sessions to improve skills and ensure compliance with industry standards.
