Due to expansive growth in the construction industry and a growing portfolio of work, Silverstrand is seeking **Drainlayers** to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team. You will be based on our Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Manawatu projects and employed on a permanent basis.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this role is responsible for (but not limited to):

- Read drawings and understand all specifications and requirements in relations to drainage
- Work and construct in accordance with drainage best practice, methodologies, and procedures
- Ability to manage and work as part of a team
- Liaise with Supervisors on material requirements and order materials accordingly
- Working with and around chemicals such as curing agents, epoxy’s, sealants, mortar, and grout
- Complete ad hoc duties as requested by site supervisor

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 3+ years' construction experience
- Experience on civil construction and road projects
- Experience with the technical aspects of pipe laying
- Working around deep excavations and using trench boxes
- A good strong understanding of survey set out as well as setting up pipe lasers and survey pegs
- Ability to read and work directly from plans
- Drainlaying certificate is desirable
- Complete ad hoc duties as requested by site supervisor
- A strong commitment to working safely and productively
- Physically fit
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A good attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Any additional licences/tickets/qualifications i.e., excavator, working at heights, ewe, scaffolding, confined spaces, dogging, rigging will be considered an advantage.
