Moving and Handling Coordinator

Over the past 8 months, the restructure of our Clinical Learning and Development service has resulted in a** much larger clinical education team**, and we're thrilled to already be providing our people with better support and growth. However, there is still **a piece missing** And it's you**: A Moving and Handling Coordinator**. **About the job**: This brand new position will report to our Clinical Practice Manager and work closely with both our Physiotherapy, and Health and Safety Managers. Your "mission" is to develop and implement a Moving and Handling programme, including writing the competencies and rolling the programme out, then providing initial and ongoing training to our people. This is a full time 1.0 FTE role, (but could be 0.9 if you prefer). You'll be based at Mercy Hospital in Epsom and delivering training across all of our sites. And whilst you'll work flexible office hours Mon - Fri, you may be required to work the odd Saturday if training courses are running. **About us**: We're part of the Healthcare Holdings Group of companies and we're New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 22 theatres (and growing fast) across 3 sites, an ICU and an HDU. Our surgical specialties include: Colorectal/Gastro, Gynae, Urology, Neurology, Oncology, Plastics, ENT/ORL, Orthopaedic/Spinal, free flap Head & Neck, and Cardiothoracics. **About You**: You're a healthcare professional with current NZ registration, who works or has recently worked in a healthcare environment. You could be a physio, an OT, or similar, but **you are an experienced Moving and Handling trainer.** You have a qualification in adult education, and you're a member of the Moving and Handling Association of NZ, with a good understanding of the related legislation.
