Waiapu Kids St Mary’s is a friendly early childhood education centre with a heart for the children and the community. It operates under the umbrella of Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW) which is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. ACW have services and programmes in Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti, and Hawke’s Bay. **About the Role**

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and innovative ECE Centre Manager to lead and inspire an experienced team to make a positive difference to children’s lives. The role requires someone with effective people skills who can support and motivate a strong, established team of ECE teachers and teaching assistants to continue to provide a nurturing and enjoyable learning environment for the children within the centre. The Centre Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre and its operational functions.

As Centre Manager you will work with a team of Waiapu Kids Centre Managers who provide a supportive network and contribute to the strategic direction of the education services within the organisation. Centre Managers report directly to the Education Manager who provides support and guidance.

Sound organisational and management skills will ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre.
- 2-5 years’ centre manager experience
- Skills in curriculum leadership
- Strong business acumen with evidence of growth strategy and financial management
- Qualification in early childhood or primary education, and current NZ teacher registration and certification
- Relevant postgraduate or management qualification is an advantage
- Clean criminal record
- NZ residency
- Ability to foster an environment reflective of the special character and Christian values of Anglican Care Waiapu
