Zeal Consultants are a Christchurch-based IT partner delivering smart, scalable solutions and expert advice including Support, Monitoring and Maintenance, Security, Compliance Security, & Cloud Infrastructure

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Technical Support**: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues. This includes resolving problems, managing assets, and contributing to technology change projects.
- ** System Management**: Design, implement, and manage IT systems and infrastructure. Ensure system security, availability, and performance.
- ** Proactive Support**: Anticipate and address potential issues before they become problems. This includes regular system monitoring, performing preventive maintenance, and providing timely updates and patches to ensure optimal performance and security.
- ** Collaboration**: Work closely with other junior and senior IT staff to deliver IT solutions. This includes hands-on support at client locations, performing installations, and ensuring seamless integration of systems.
- ** Client Relationship Management**: Serve as a trusted tech and business advisor to clients, ensuring that the vendor's products and services are being used correctly and efficiently.
- ** Strategic Planning**: Work with clients to assess their technology needs, develop strategies, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and security. This includes documenting and updating IT policies and procedures and writing scopes of work that cover full business requirements for review by Senior Engineers.
- ** Network and Firewall Configuration**: Set up and configure networks and firewalls to ensure secure and efficient connectivity. This includes managing network security, VLANs, and wireless access.
- ** Microsoft 365 Deployment**: Understand and deploy Microsoft 365 modern workplace systems, including setting up Azure AD, migrating data to OneDrive, configuring Teams, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
- ** KPI Target**: Exceed KPI targets of at least 70% billable in a calendar month.

**Experience and Qualifications**:
Prior experience working in a Managed Service Provider, consulting and supporting clients is critical
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, working with multiple clients and environments.
- Certifications in Microsoft, Fortinet, or relevant technologies and methodologies are often preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Proven ability to write comprehensive scopes of work and manage IT projects from inception to completion.
