We’re looking for an experienced **Senior Estimator** to join our **Civil** business in Hornby, **Christchurch**. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, has a sharp eye for detail, and is passionate about delivering accurate and competitive tenders for complex civil projects.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of **heavy civil projects** — including **roading and pavements, three waters infrastructure, and land development**.

- Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and commercial teams to develop winning methodologies and innovative solutions.

- Analysing drawings, specifications, and contractual documents to identify opportunities, risks, and cost efficiencies.

- Leading estimating input for both standalone tenders and design-build or alliance projects.

- Supporting our estimators through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Proven experience estimating medium to large-scale **civil construction projects** in New Zealand.

- Strong knowledge of **NZS 3910**, NZTA specifications, and local authority standards.

- Advanced capability with estimating software (e.g. Expert Estimation, Candy, or similar).

- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
