**About the Opportunity - Estimator (Construction & Civil Projects)**

**Estimator Responsibilities - Cost Estimation, Tendering & Project Support**
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for a range of construction and civil engineering projects, including materials, plant, labour, and subcontractor analysis.
- Interpret and review project drawings, specifications, and related contract documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tender documents and support bid processes through effective collaboration with project managers and engineers.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and manage pricing information.
- Maintain organised records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

**Estimator Skills & Experience - Construction, Civil, Analytical**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or equivalent experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong commercial and numerical acumen with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good understanding of local civil construction methods, materials, and market rates in New Zealand.
- Proficiency in Candy estimation software (or similar) is advantageous.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workloads, and adapt in a fast-paced team environment.
