**Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity**
As our Remuneration Consultant, you will report to the Head of Remuneration and Analytics. You will provide top-notch remuneration and benefits advice, guide our reward frameworks, and support reward projects as we develop and implement new ways of working. Collaborating with our People & Performance Business Partners and Advisors, Talent Acquisition, and Culture and Capability teams, you will drive great employee experiences with your specialist advice.
Your role will:
- Facilitate the annual remuneration review, supporting both P&P and our people leaders, ensuring smooth processes and effective communication.
- Manage employee benefits and our employee recognition scheme, working with third-party providers and our Auckland Council whanau to promote our EVP
- Develop and integrate gender, equity and diversity reporting into our remuneration frameworks, to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement
- Undertake analysis on our pay bands, considering external market and internal equity factors to ensure employee transparency, consistency, and competitiveness in the market.
- Provide advice and guidance on regulatory compliance related to remuneration, including relevant employment legislation and best practice methodologies.

We are looking for someone who can quickly engage and build effective relationships. You should have experience working in large, complex organisations, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to turn data into actionable insights. You should be inquisitive, a creative problem solver, and ready to pre-empt what's needed. To be successful in this role you will need
- Previous job evaluation certification or experience (Hay, Strategic Pay or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills, with understanding of financial modelling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex information
- Focus and drive for continuous improvement and new ways of working.
- At least 2-3 years in remuneration, with a strong understanding of reward principles
- Solid understanding of salary bands and job architecture frameworks,
- Experience with market surveys, incentives, and benefits.
- The ability to understand business issues and demonstrate a business focus
Experience with SuccessFactors and/or Workday is a plus, but not essential—we'll provide training
