We have an awesome opportunity to join our fresh team working as a Category Manager in our Meat Category.

**About the role**

Working across our Retail Banners, you’ll provide expert knowledge across the Meat Category. Influencing and engaging a range of stakeholders, you’ll drive sales and performance across the Category. You’ll play a key role in selling meat into our stores.

With a true strategic mind-set, you’ll take on a senior role in the team; determining and achieving strategic goals through:

- Effective category planning and forecasting
- Managing supplier relationships
- Negotiating pricing and promotional activities
- Managing customer focused product ranging and product maintenance

**About you**

With a commercial mind-set you’ll have an in-depth understanding of Category/Account Management in FMCG or retail, ideally in Meat/Butchery. Passionate about selling meat into or stores, you’ll have experience in selling fresh product into retail. Not afraid to get into the detail you’ll work collaboratively and effectively to plan, organise and operate the category - ensuring we’re reaching and hitting our targets, unlocking growth and using customer insights.

Keys to your success in the role will also include;
- Strong understanding and/or a real passion for Meat
- An analytical way of thinking with and an affinity for the numbers
- Methodical approach to managing the administration of a large category

A pivotal role in the team - this is an opportunity to shine and take on a large and complex category for the Foodies Banner stores.
