**About the role**

Working across our Retail Banners, you’ll provide expert knowledge across the Fresh Produce Category.
- With a true strategic mind-set you’ll:_
- Influence and engage a range of stakeholders
- Drive sales and performance across the category
- Determine and achieve strategic goals through effective category planning and forecasting
- Manage supplier relationships, pricing, promotional activities, range management and product maintenance

**About you**

With a commercial mind-set you’ll have an in-depth understanding of Category/Account Management in FMCG or retail, ideally in Fresh Produce. Not afraid to get into the detail you’ll work collaboratively and effectively to plan, organise and operate the category - ensuring we’re reaching hitting financial targets, unlocking growth and using customer insights.
- Keys to your success in the role will also include:_
- Strong understanding and/or a real passion for Fresh Produce
- An analytical way of thinking with and an affinity for the numbers
- Methodical approach to managing the administration of a large category

Because of the nature of the product, travel is required. On average, you could be out of town two to three days a month depending on where growers are based and make daily visits to the produce markets.
