**About the role**:
Civil Defence Emergency Management has four areas of activity, known as the '4Rs': Reduction, Readiness, Response and Recovery. The Community Resilience Coordinator is an active member of the Council's Civil Defence and Emergency Management (CDEM) team, and key duties will include:
- Supporting communities to develop community response plans
- Developing and delivering public education programmes
- Strengthening links between CDEM and communities
- Supporting the delivery of CDEM training
- Contributing to the development of guidance and tools to support work programmes
- Acting as duty CDEM officer on a rostered basis
**Our ideal applicant will**:
- Be someone who loves to work with all levels of community
- Have prior experience in a CDEM or Local Government environment
- Have excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Be a detail oriented person
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
