**What's the role about?**

We are looking for permanent part time Support Workers in our Christchurch region for our Whānau Support services. As a Support Worker you will be working with a variety of individuals to enable them to participate in meaningful activities in the community i.e. swimming or to sporting activities, going on walks to the park, arts and crafts, movies - the opportunities are endless.

If you are passionate to support children, youth and young adults with intellectual or physical disabilities, this is a wonderful opportunity for you. You will be able to help people grow and achieve greater independence, develop strong social skills and support them to be part of their community - you will be somebody who really thrives off helping others.

**We're looking for people with the following skills**:

- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Experience working with youth is advantageous
- Availability to work after school hours and weekends
- Full drivers' license and owning your own vehicle is essential.

**Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.**
