ASR Communications Limited is a Ashburton based company working with Chorus on delivering telecommunication services across Canterbury region.

We are seeking outstanding individuals to join our team.

Minimum of 6 months field experience like hand digging, any sort of cable laying is mandatory.

Full time position minimum 30 hours per week.

Must be available to work at the weekend when required.

Full NZ Driver’s License (mandatory)

Be fit and healthy.

Must be able to lift weights.

Flexible long hours and may require split shifts (Morning - Afternoon).

The Health, Safety and Well-being of our staff and those we work around is of utmost importance to us and a key element of this role, the ability to display this on a daily, ongoing basis is essential.

Job Responsibilities:
Civil building work i.e hand digging and long trenching.

Laying cables into open trench under the supervision of lead technician on field.

Must be flexible to go under floor and into ceiling access.

Helping lead technician to haul/pulling cables into existing telecommunication ducts.

Must be able to provide the correct tools to Lead technician as required.

Take responsibility for correct use of company vehicle and tools.

Stock back filling in work vehicles on daily basis.

Ability to do soft back filling of open trench and hard surface reinstatement under supervision.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
