Turf Bar Manager

At our hotel - 'Hotel Ashburton' we have a Turf Bar for which we are looking to hire a Bar Manager. Our Turf Bar, is a sports bar with fantastic friendly staff, where we provide full gaming and TAB facilities. We have various gaming options such as pool tables, darts and ping pong.

The job responsibilities will be as per below:

- To oversee the day-to-day operations, manage the 3 bar staff.
- Oversee the bar staff's training so they can identify the preferences of the patrons and tailor their recommendations.
- Assist in designing and amending the drink menus, developing cocktail recipes, and providing clients with sufficient information about new drinks and offers.
- Choosing and combining components, decorating cups, and providing consumers with drinks when needed.
- Addressing and promptly resolving escalated consumer complaints.
- Build positive relationships with your suppliers and ensure that you always have turf bar stock available.
- Ensuring that all employees adhere to health, alcohol, and other laws and regulations
- Serve as a direct conduit for vendors, technicians, DJs, security, and representatives.
- Coordinate and carry out marketing campaigns at the turf bar.
- Assisting with drinks preparation, serving, and sales.
- Verify that the establishment conforms with all applicable permits and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act of 2012.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
- Should hold a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or relevant qualification
- Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work during peak hours, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Good with decision making
- Should be able to cover shifts of other staff members (incase they are sick).
- Leadership skills

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
