We provide our BNZ business customers with risk management products and services including foreign exchange and interest rate risk management, pricing and transacting deposits and fixed interest securities. No matter how simple or complex their needs, we provide guidance, competitive pricing and efficient execution of financial markets transactions. We sat down with the Head of Trading, Markets (who you'd report to), and he let us know the following about the Senior Trader - Derivatives & FX role: What are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?- Deliver financial outcomes for Derivatives & FX trading desks within agreed risk settings.- Set and execute the trading strategy against the context of the regulatory framework and in alignment of the regional/global model to ensure profitability and effective use of capital.- Proactively monitor risk and assurance requirements within agreed risk appetite and manage non-compliance in a timely manner.- Work across the wider BNZ/Global Markets business to maximise the effectiveness of wider team objectives and deliverables.- Represent the team at client, industry or stakeholder forums. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga? We are looking for an experienced professional with more than10 years’ experience in trading/risk management across rates, cross-currency and FX or similar disciplines. The successful applicant will also have excellent understanding of financial products and services and a good understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the business. What do we want you to know before you apply? You will require a NZFMA Dealer Accreditation. If you are returning to New Zealand, then you will need to acquire this within 12 months of commencing the role. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
