The
Dialysis service provides holistic specialist nurse assessment, care and education
to patients and whanau. We manage a wide variety of patients, inpatients, acute patients
and out patients, with varying complexity.
As
a Health Care Assistant you will be part of our dedicated nursing environment
with full support. Your role is to work within the team to assist nursing staff
in care delivery, one-to-one patient watches and other tasks as directed.
Every
day is different and our nursing team enjoys the variety of work, the people
they interact with and the challenge of giving each patient the best possible customer
experience, whilst ensuring that everything runs to schedule.
Your hours of work will be rostered
Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00AM and 3.00PM.

You
will be an enthusiastic and friendly person with the ability to get on with a
wide variety of people. You will have great communication and organisational
skills and will enjoy helping people. You will also be able to work in a
flexible manner, demonstrating honesty and reliability.
You will ideally have experience within the health sector.

**Qualifications**:
Essential
- Year 11 NCEA level 1 English (or equivalent)
- Year 11 NCEA level 1 Maths (or

equivalent)Desirable
- Home Carer Certificate (or equivalent)Mandatory requirement
- NZQA Level 3: New Zealand Certificate

in Health and Wellbeing - Health Assistance Strand, if not previously
obtained, is to be commenced once orientations have
been attended.
