**The opportunity**

Our Geotechnical team works across geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and hydrogeology. As a national team of over 130 people, we are excited for the opportunities ahead of us and are well placed to help Aotearoa advance and protect our world for future generations. We’re looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer who is ready for their next career move to join our Geotechnical team in Auckland. You will be joining a passionate team in a varied role that includes managing and delivering projects with support from our technical specialists, liaising with clients, and guiding and growing more junior members of the team. You will plan and execute field assignments as well as prepare technical proposals and reports, undertake design and design management, liaise with clients and provide a senior review. Working alongside a national team of Geotechnical specialists across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands, the forward workload is strong and varied.

Aligned with the level of the role, we envision that the base salary component will be between NZ$80,000 - $130,000.00 depending on skills and experience. The role is full time and permanent, with minimum guaranteed hours of 40 hours a week.

**About you**

We’re looking for someone who loves to learn and share knowledge - someone who can bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around them and who constantly seeks better practice for the overall quality of our work and our client experience. Bringing your background from consultancy or contracting you are an experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist with at least five years of experience. You have developed strong written and verbal communication skills, and an enthusiasm for getting things done and a willingness to constantly learn and develop. You will be passionate about the opportunity to grow others and be motivated by being in leadership roles with the ability to ‘own’ the delivery of quality client outcomes throughout the region.
