What you will do.- Mott Macdonald has a new, exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team, based in Auckland. Your focus will be on ANZ projects, but you will also support other offices globally by providing internal support services related to tunnelling, foundations, retaining structures and slopes and interpretations on civil infrastructure projects.- As part of the wider Geotechnical team, working with internal and external clients as a member of the Transport Team, you will be mentored and supported by senior team members. Where required you will assist in scoping geotechnical aspects of projects, prepare designs, specifications and reports, and be involved in construction monitoring, as well as attend client meetings and manage the client interface on progressively larger and more complex projects.- About you.- You will be a degree qualified Civil Engineer or Geotechnical Engineer. This role will suit someone with a few years post graduate experience, who is looking to develop alongside a team of high performing geotechnical professionals.- With a solid base of technical knowledge and experience in geotechnical projects, ground characterisation, seismic assessments, numerical modelling, and design, we seek a person who is technically focussed with the ability to be client minded.- A team player with advanced communication skills, attention to detail, experience in project management and an understanding of commercial risk are necessary for effective performance in this role.
