Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
Hutt Maternity is a person-focused unit providing personalised, quality maternity care to birthing people. On average five babies are born in the Hutt Valley every day and we provide primary and secondary maternity care for about 1800 people a year in the Hutt Valley.
Our midwifery unit functions much like an extended family, with work-life balance being extremely important to all of our staff.
Moū - About you
You will provide assistance to the midwifery and nursing team as required to ensure that a high level of maternity care is maintained at all times. The role involves basic care of birthing people and babies, providing practical and emotional support and education, housekeeping and clerical duties. All work is carried out under the direction and delegation of a registered midwife/nurse at all times.
Eligibility
This is a Core Children - s worker position under the Children - s Act 2014 and requires a full safety checks completed prior to commencement of employment
