**About the job**:
Competitive salary and range of employee benefits; On-site role located in New Lynn, West Auckland; Permanent, full-time (42.5 hours per week) opportunity in a hands-on, collaborative team. This job will require some weekend and late-night shifts with an initial roster which is Sunday to Thursday.

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a dynamic leader to join our management team at Mitre 10 MEGA New Lynn. We are looking for a leader who can ensure our team members and specialists are equipped to deliver exceptional service to Every Customer, Every Time. If you have had any of these previous job titles Zone Leader, Department Leader, Team Leader or Team Supervisor we want to hear from you If you are passionate about merchandising standards and have an eye for detail, then this role might be for you. Your scope of work would also include maximizing the efficiency of the team so that they are delivering the operational standards (general merchandising, promotional execution, overall tidiness, and cleanliness) within the store and adjacencies. Previous exposure to Hardware, Plumbing, Power tools, Hand Tools, Bathrooms and Kitchen departments would be ideal.

**What will you bring**:

- You would have 2+ years’ experience in a retail environment at mid-management level.
- You have previous team leadership experience regularly leading, coaching and supporting 10+ members of staff.
- You are someone who leads with a hands-on approach.
- You have solid operational knowledge of supply chain and suppliers and the supply chain process.
- You would demonstrate a high level of stock integrity awareness.
- You have decision making capability in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- You have great Administrative and time management skills as it relates to retail and leadership responsibilities
- You would be prepared to commit to at least one weekend day (most likely Sunday) and have some flexibility to match our trading hours which could include some early starts and some late finishes. The non-peak season store trading hours are from 7am to 7pm.
- You would be a local West Auckland resident likely residing in the following areas: Avondale, Blockhouse Bay, Glen Eden, Green Bay, Kelston, Titirangi, New Windsor, Henderson, Massey, Te Atatū Peninsula, Te Atatū South, Glendene, Waterview, Sunnyvale, Oratia, Swanson, Ranui, Mount Roskill, Point Chevalier, Mount Albert, Western Springs, Kingsland, Westmere, Grey Lynn, Sandringham, Lynfield, Hillsborough, Three Kings, Epsom, Penrose, Onehunga, Royal Oak, Mount Eden, Ellerslie, Avondale Heights or Mangere Bridge.
