- Work for a flexible and inclusive working organisation
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for a motivated Scrum Master to join our team, where you will be working across the business to support Agile ways of working.
This is your opportunity to join us and make a meaningful contribution to our Agile journey and to Toitū Te Whenua's wider transformation to deliver more value for New Zealand.
At Toitū Te Whenua we design our roles around shared capabilities (rather than focusing on tasks) and so you'll notice our role profiles are broad. This allows us to be responsive to our customers and to strengthen the connections across our organisation. It also gives us the flexibility to provide wider opportunities to our people, to further their careers. The broad-based role for this position is ‘Solution Delivery Specialist'.
**He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience**:
You'll draw on your previous experience as a Scrum Master to support teams operating in an Agile environment (or wanting to operate in an Agile environment) to empower those squads to self-organise, self-manage, and deliver. As a servant leader, you'll champion Agile ways of working as you coach other team members to communicate, coordinate, and cooperate; to meet their delivery goals.
This is a ‘leading with influence' role and your knowledge and guidance will be an important contributor to our organisation's Agile journey.
As well as being a Scrum Master / Agile Facilitator, you will be the primary contributor in developing and delivering to our internal Agile training. You will have experience in, or a strong desire to develop experience in, delivering and fronting in-person, online and hybrid Agile training sessions for people and teams.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Coaching and educating the team and others in the project around Agile ways of working, practices and principles.
- Resolving impediments for the team by actively addressing and blocking any issues that are beyond the team's authority, or which may require support from other teams.
- Supporting the Product Owner/Business Owner to ensure the product backlog is in good shape and prioritised.
- Holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work, helping them to identify, mitigate and resolve issues/risks, and ensuring they comply with any reporting requirements.
- Organising and facilitating the Agile ceremonies.
- Developing and delivering training collateral to people and teams in the business.
The annual salary range for this position is $95,846 - $129,674
