**Mō te Tūranga | About the role**

As Principal Engineer, you'll be a technical leader driving the evolution of ASB's Salesforce platform. You'll play a key role in our CRM transformation, working with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions, uplift engineering standards, and ensure our platform supports business outcomes at scale.

- Lead technical design and decision-making for Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with ASB's strategy
- Act as the go-to expert for complex technical challenges and escalations
- Collaborate with architecture, platform, and leadership teams to shape technical roadmaps and manage dependencies
- Support system stability, delivery pipelines, and test automation initiatives
- Champion engineering best practices and continuous improvement across the Customer Tribe
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the Salesforce platform

**Ō Pūkenga | About you**

You're a seasoned engineering leader with deep Salesforce expertise and a passion for driving transformation. You thrive in complex environments, inspire others, and bring a strategic mindset to solving business challenges.

- 8+ years' experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, including 4+ years in architecture roles (Solution or Technical)
- Proven track record of leading technical design and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions
- Hands-on experience in banking, ideally with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC); nCino experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of compliance, security, and regulated environments
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and uplift engineering teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and business stakeholders
- Energised by solving complex problems and driving change at scale
