- Number of positions for this job: up to 5
- Pay rate: from $29.66 to $35 per hour
- Days required: 5-6 days/week
- Hours per week: min 30, max 60 hours per week

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
ž The main duty of this assistant role is to act as the motor vehicle fitter to fit and replace the vehicles’ parts and accessories to support the operation of our workshop.

ž Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
ž Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles and completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, and tire rotations.

ž Changing old and damaged parts, such as broken glass, trimmed strips and rubber seals from window frames.

ž Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing and painting.

ž Testing and fitting batteries and installing accessories such as sun roofs, stereos and alarms.

ž Positioning new windscreens and glass windows on frames and attaching and sealing them.

ž Removing damaged radiators, cleaning, repairing, installing new or repaired radiators into vehicles.

ž Fixing or replacing other units in the cooling system such as thermostats, head gaskets and water pumps

ž Inspecting tyres to determine which repair action to implement and repairing punctures in tubes and tubeless tyres.

ž Compiles vehicle records by recording service and repairs.

**Job Requirement**

l Prior work experience is not required but would be an advantage

l A “can-do” attitude

l Have an eye on details

l Self-motivated

l Clean non-criminal record
