**What is the Opportunity?**
We have a fantastic opportunity for a **6-month fixed term** contract for an enthusiastic hands on **_Service Technician Assistant_** to join our Service Team in **Christchurch**. This role will be assisting our technicians with the servicing and installations of our patient ceiling lifts working in hospital environments. The role will suit a person aspiring to work as a Service Technician within the medical device and equipment industry.
Our products “Empower Movement” and you will find satisfaction in knowing the work you do makes a positive difference to Peoples’ lives. You will report directly to the National Aftermarket Manager but working with our locally based Christchurch Service Technicians.
**Your role will involve**:
- Assisting in the servicing, installation and testing of patient ceiling lifts and other equipment in the hospital environment - full training will be provided;
- Demonstrating a “can do” attitude and initiative to be able to work both autonomously and with a team to productively complete the work;
- Being a valuable team member and working alongside our team to promote and support our various business functions.
**To be successful in this position, you will possess**:
- A strong desire to achieve a high level of professional customer service;
- Ability to read, understand and install equipment in accordance to instructions;
- A full Driver’s License and good personal presentation;
- Electrical Appliance Serviceperson (EAS) and EWRB registration will be an advantage;
- Technical experience in the hospital environment and/or construction sites will be an advantage;
- Good communication skills and be able to work both autonomously and in a team.
