Otago, New Zealand DairyNZ Full time

**Research Technician**
- Do you want to make a real impact for Dairy farmers in NZ?
- Work within a talented and collaborative team
- Be part of a passionate, supportive and world-leading industry-good organisation

**About the role**

Our Research Tech team in Southland has some big projects to deliver and we need an RT star to help us deliver great research outcomes for our farmers

No two days are the same around here; you may start your day with the sun in a dairy shed sampling, follow the samples through our laboratory and wrap it up completing data entry at your desk. Or spend your day out on farm doing farmwalks, collecting pasture samples or weighing calves.

**About you**

You must be a self-starter and willing to get stuck into whatever comes your way. Working alongside farm staff and scientists, our Research Technicians’ work contributes directly to our world-leading scientific research, so the ability to meet deadlines and be proactive about quality control is vital.

A comfort and confidence working with dairy cattle is a must, along with a good level of physical fitness, the ability to communicate well and a good understanding of how a dairy farm works.

If you’ve a related tertiary qualification or experience in research work, that would be fantastic
