Reporting to the Restaurant Manager you will have an effective presence on the floor, ensuring that restaurant services are seamlessly delivered and to train our team to meet our world-class fine dining standards.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all restaurant operations are run efficiently. Key responsibilities will be:

- Assist in managing the daily operations and help deliver the best guest experience
- Lead and mentor the Restaurant team alongside the Restaurant Manager and create help shape a collaborative culture
- Implement and maintain operational standards, ensuring efficiency delivery of the highest standards of service
- Assisting in the management of the team when required, rosters, daily briefings, onboarding
- Liaise with the other departments in the hotel on a daily basis to ensure smooth operations
- A background in fine dining and wine service is essential
- Previous senior level Food and Beverage experience in boutique lodges or 5 star properties
- Strong beverage and wine knowledge
- Ability to train a team of mixed skill levels
- Impeccable personal grooming
- Knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Reliable, honest and engaged with excellent attention to detail

Due to our beautiful remote location, you will need to have a reliable transport option and a valid working visa or work rights to apply. We are an accredited employer with Immigration New Zealand.
