There is a vacancy in their Wellington office for a switched on transport coordinator. With a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar type of work, familiar with moving freight from the ports, and a knowledge of what's involved, you will be responsible for coordinating the freight from the ports in Wellington and dispatching it around NZ.

A few of the key duties include:
Daily activities such as container, LCL & Air delivery planning.

Monitor container detention and demurrage and effectively reduce/negotiate costs in detention/demurrage charges.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective management, timely solutions, and execution.

Identify any process improvement opportunities..

Coordinate goods dispatch with complete documentation, verifying shipping documents and ensure compliance with regulations.

You will also be involved in the unpacking side of the freight, handling claims and entering data into Cargowise.

Here's what we need:
2 years minimum experience in a similar role.

Have experience and knowledge of processes required to expedite delivery of shipments to clients.

CW1 experience.

Understanding and knowledge of NZ transport legislation, including Chain of responsibility.

Experience quoting for breakbulk or out of gauge cargo.
