Homestead Construction, based in Levin, is a reputable and steadily growing construction company known for its commitment to quality, safety, and innovation. With a legacy spanning several decades, they have built a reputation as a trusted partner in the construction industry. As they continue to expand their operations, they are actively seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join their dedicated team based in Levin and Wellington.

**Position Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
Leadership Team
- Spearhead departmental goals, attend leadership meetings, and provide regular performance reports to the Leadership team and board.
- Foster collaboration and coordination between departments.

Construction Department
- Develop and implement a construction strategy to achieve company goals.
- Conduct regular check-ins, planning meetings, and 1:1 sessions with direct reports for effective performance management.
- Identify and address resource gaps and contribute to the ongoing development of your team.
- Uphold company culture within the department and ensure adherence to Homestead standards across all project sites.

Day-to-day Tasks
- Ensure appropriate resourcing across construction projects and engage proactively with Sales and Pre-Construction for a robust project pipeline.
- Generate project timelines, maintain live company-level schedules, and foster high levels of client engagement.
- Coordinate with various teams, hold Project Managers accountable for project delivery, and oversee project management meetings.
- Drive operational excellence, streamline processes, and ensure quality assurance while staying abreast of industry best practices.
- Monitor each current project against budget, proactively addressing any issues that arise.
- Champion a 'safe working' culture on all project sites, holding Project and Site Managers accountable for maintaining health and safety processes.

**Performance Objectives & KPIs**:

- Meet revenue and project profitability targets.
- Deliver projects on time, to quality standards, and on budget.
- Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Exceed Health & Safety responsibilities on all construction sites.
