Project Civil Engineer

**AU, Palmerston North | Professional | Full-Time **| ID**:22523** **Vestas is currently recruiting a qualified civil engineer to ensure the civil and structural aspects of its construction projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements and best practices.** **Construction > Region APC > Turitea WF** **Responsibilities**: - Ensuring that all civil drawings are reviewed and complied with in accordance with the contractual - obligations, industry standards, and safety compliance. - Ensure that the project complies with the scope as agreed with the customer - Lead a technical team of site-based engineers on multiple projects across Australia/New Zealand performing all people manager's responsibilities. - Ensure compliance of the team engineering activities is aligned with Vestas Standard operating procedures. - Support the review of civil and structural design drawings and documentation against contractual obligations, industry standards, safety compliance, and best practice. - Support the review of Inspection and test planning of civil components and infrastructure. - Coordinate design interfaces with Site Electrical Engineers and other offsite discipline leads - Coordinate and participate in Safety in Design Reviews and Project risk workshops - Reporting on the status of Design and QA/QC submissions and other engineering deliverables. - Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical queries, requests for information variations, and payment claims are assessed in a timely manner. - Participate in engineering investigations and contribute to the development of improved department controls and systems. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering - CPEng - Chartered Professional Engineer as granted by Engineers Australia. **Competencies**: - Management of direct reports, contractors, and designers in an off-site, office environment. - Review of civil and structural design using practical design management techniques. - Experience with Pavement / Road design is highly valued - Experience with Concrete / Foundation design is highly valued - Experience in doing Negotiation with major stakeholders, both clients/contractors - Ability to operate within a high-pressure environment - Experience in the construction of Wind farms is highly valued - Advanced use of MS Office. - Experience with using document control systems is highly valued (E.g.
