The Aigantighe Art Gallery has a wonderful opportunity for a keen student to join them for the summer as their intern

We are looking for a contentious student who is currently studying Art History or Museum Studies and is passionate about the arts.

This internship will see you primarily assisting the Collection Curator in an ongoing project to audit the permanent collection. This project will confirm locations and conditions of artworks using the Gallery’s Vernon CMS database. You will also assist the Front of House team and the wider team with a range of projects.

You will be interested in NZ art and looking to pursue a career in the NZ arts sector. The Gallery is looking for someone who has a willingness to learn and work carefully within the gallery environment, and bonus points if you have had previous experience handling artworks

All applicants are required to be either a New Zealand Citizen or have a current New Zealand work visa.
