**Registered Mental Health Professional (Registered Nurse or Social Worker)**
Based in Palmerston North with some outreach to Tararua (as per service requirement)

We have two full time roles for a registered nurse or social worker in our CAFS team.
One role is permanent, the second is covering parental leave for up to one year.
We expect the best from people we employ and we try to give them the best
On this occasion we are looking for someone with experience within a child and adolescent mental health service, though more importantly, someone who is passionate about young people and their whanau. You will have a range of assessment and therapy skills (such as CBT, DBT and ACT). We are also willing to provide appropriate training.
We require someone who can be creative, flexible and innovative. You must also possess an awesome sense of humour and be compassionate and kind in your everyday interactions. In return for all these wonderful skills we will provide a hugely supportive team environment, opportunities to stretch yourself clinically and involvement in a fantastic community of people that want the best for their Rangitahi.
Our vibrant and diverse City isn't huge but it packs a powerful social experience if that's what you are looking for. Its not next to the sea or the beach, but its pretty close (25 mins) and they are wild and wonderful. It has awesome walks/bike tracks and more importantly the people are what makes it a fabulous place to be - both in the community and especially within our Service.
There is lots to do locally or with its central location it is easy to get away for the weekend to all the major attractions of Lower North Island - 2 hours drive away from the vibrant capital of Wellington (via the newly opened Transmission Gully road), the wineries of Hawkes' Bay, the ski fields of Ruapehu and much more
