MBIE’s Learning and Development team sits within the People & Culture (P&C) branch. The Learning and Development (L&D) team shape the learning agenda for MBIE and manage delivery of MBIE-wide learning programmes. MBIE’s Learning and Development Team has just won 5 Global LearnX Awards which is recognition of the high standard of L&D work that this undertaken in this team to achieve best practice learning for the organisation.
This is a great opportunity to join the team as a Learning Specialist supporting the All of MBIE portfolio which is the largest, most diverse and widest reaching portfolio. In this role you will play a significant role in the in the design and development of world class learning solutions that benefit both the Ministry and the learner and contribute to the Ministry’s strategies.
Working with a wide-range of stakeholders, you will support and lead work that is interesting and varied and you will have a real opportunity to share your ideas and explore new ways of doing things.
**In this role you will**:
- Develop clear L&D objectives from inception and robust evaluation methodology to ensure you deliver L&D solutions that deliver the required results.
- Uncover the learning needs by using action mapping and following learning needs analysis processes ensuring a real learner focus.
- Develop comprehensive training documentation and resources to support operational needs is key, as is maintaining learning resources to ensure they remain current. We are interested to hear from experienced L&D practitioner with the following skills and experience:
- 2-3 years learning design experience
- Wide ranging knowledge of adult learning theory and practice
- Ability to build quality learner focused solutions using Articulate 360 and other emerging technologies
- Attention to details and deadlines, ability to manage multiple initiatives or projects
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritisation and execution skills
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Must have legal right to live and work in NZ
