**The Role**:
Are you a skilled educator with a passion for Aotearoa New Zealand’s history? As a Senior Learning Specialist PLD, you will lead, design, facilitate and deliver educational workshops to kaiako across Aotearoa’s culture and heritage sector, while bringing your strong relationship-building skills to champion Te Papa with external education partners. In this exciting hands-on role, you will provide value in bringing a whaakaro Māori perspective to the education programme, whilst uplifting the cultural capability, knowledge, and professional practice of kaiako and educators. If you are motivated by building and uplifting capability, you will find this role highly rewarding.

Demonstrated capability in designing and delivering learning programmes, strong facilitation skills and strategies for working with adult learners.

An understanding of Te Papa’s bicultural philosophy and the partnership approach set out in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

An understanding of historical events and taonga unique to Aotearoa and the ability to communicate a whakaaro Māori perspective

Excellent relationship building, communication and presentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

It would be advantageous if you are an experienced Professional Learning & Development facilitator.
