We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our In-patient Unit at Hospice Waikato.

Hospice Waikato is a supportive organisation focused on leading the specialist field of palliative care. We are committed to providing high quality, patient focused, equitable care, for Waikato people living with a terminal condition.
As a part of the IPU team, you will provide a high level of healthcare assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The HCA position is integral in assisting the nursing team in to deliver respite, symptom management and end of life care to our patients and their whaanau.

To be the right fit for this role and our organisation you would:

- Have previous experience in a caring role
- Have or be working towards a Certificate such as Health and Wellbeing Level 3 or 4
- Be available to work shifts across AM and PM shifts (no nights)
- Have emotional maturity and resilience
- Be comfortable using technology
- Have a current First Aid Certificate
