**About The Role**:
As part of the Commercial and Strategy Group, the Risk and Assurance Manager will lead the strategic and operational risk management for Timaru District Council.

As leader of Risk and Assurance, the role will create a high performing team, committed to the Council’s vision and motivated to get results through collaboration and a focus on continuous improvement.

**Skills & Experience**:

- A degree in a relevant field with a professional qualification such as Certified Internal Auditor.
- 5 years’ experience in an operational risk/compliance/assurance role within a medium to large organisation.
- Expert knowledge and experience in risk management frameworks, quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies and systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of people within a large organisation and externally.
- Highly developed organisational and administrative skills, able to meet deadlines, and work autonomously.

**Salary Range**:
The appointing salary for this role will be between $106,264 and $125,017 based on skills and experience.
