Isthmus is an award-winning, integrated design studio that blends architecture, landscape and urban design. Established in 1988, we are guided by a clear set of principles and ideas; our kaupapa is based on deepening the relationships between land, people and culture.

We now have a new and unique opportunity for an experienced Architect / Site Specialist to join our collaborative, ‘one studio’ environment. This role will have you based on site, with a focus on project delivery and the coordination of design, focused across a diverse range of projects, you will work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver award winning, impactful outcomes that enrich communities.

This role will suit someone who love’s the big picture as well as getting down into the detail to see the vision through. You will have industry leading experience as an Architect, working on site, where you will lead and coordinate projects through construction delivery stages. With this in mind;
**You’ll be**:

- Working collaboratively in house and with external consultants on the design coordination of significant civic and commercial scale projects
- Using your knowledge and experience with best practice H&S protocols, risk management and safety in design
- Experienced working as Engineer to the Contract and administering NZS3910
- Working effectively with consultants and construction teams including fabricators and artists

**You’ll have**:

- A degree in Architecture or proven related industry experience
- A passion and demonstrable experience working as a Site Architect with particular focus on public space, streetscape and infrastructure projects
- A drive for excellence, innovation and to do things better / differently
- Excitement about working with complexity and the opportunity to collaborate within out ‘no boundaries’ design environment
