**Systems Engineer**

As a **System Engineer,** you will be pivotal in providing comprehensive systems support across servers, desktops, virtual environments, mobile devices, and networking equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring, maintaining, and diagnosing these systems, ensuring smooth operations and reliable performance. You'll also be at the forefront of assisting end-users, leading engineering projects to drive technological advancements and managing sophisticated software suites.

In this role, you’ll be part of a **globally dispersed team,** requiring occasional off-hours work and some travel. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the implementation of new systems, crafting IT protocols, and contributing to the development of our company's Disaster Recovery Plan. Your consistent communication and dependable presence will be key to ensuring the success and resilience of our IT infrastructure.

**What You’ll Do**
- Systems support, including servers, desktops, virtualization, mobile devices, network, and peripheral hardware through proactive monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and escalation when appropriate.
- End user support, tackling a wide range of user requests and problems.
- Project engineering, supporting upgrades and new technology introductions.
- Support of complex software packages.
- Coordinates execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
- Works as part of team to provide input and draft IT procedures and equipment for maximum efficiency and cost containment.
- Works as part of team to provide input, draft and test company Disaster Recovery Plan.

**We’d love you to have**:

- 12+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint, including desktop, server, and cloud systems.
- Strong understanding of server technologies (Windows Server, Proxmox, Hyper-V); Linux experience is a plus.
- Proficient in installation, troubleshooting, and configuration of hardware, OS, software, and peripherals.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python; experience with packaging systems for automated deployment.
- IT business analyst experience, including creating technical solutions to support business initiatives.
- Experience in developing technical solutions and analyzing system requirements to meet business needs.
- Familiarity with security operations or architecture and implementing security best practices.
- Experience in system administration, including data backups and archives (Veeam, Cohesity, Datto a us).
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Ubiquity, security, etc.).
- Team player with strong daily interaction skills for system maintenance.
- Eager to learn new skills and technologies.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of maintaining IT infrastructure for real-time critical business systems.
- Commitment to customer service excellence.
- Enthusiasm for tackling technology issues outside current expertise.
- Willingness and ability to travel to off-site locations.
